The simulation provides students with a vast array of opportunities to apply academic knowledge and gain experience that will enhance career applications following graduation. 

Operations & Intelligence:

Members of the Crisis Team's Operations and Intelligence section plan the simulation's military aspects, researching committees' military and ISTAR capabilities and drawing on said research and existing knowledge of military strategy in order to integrate military operations and intelligence into the overall simulation dynamic. During the simulation, the Operations and Intelligence section oversees all things military and intelligence. 


The position offers research experience covering military science. Applicants will benefit from experience in the armed forces, intelligence, and military science-related research.

Press:

The heads of the press section decide which media outlets are represented in the Crisis Simulation; research said outlets; and integrate information warfare, propaganda, and strategic communications into the overall simulation dynamic. During the simulation, the heads of the press section chair the press committee. 


The position offers research experience with a focus on information warfare, mass media, propaganda, and strategic communications, and applicants will benefit from experience in journalism and media.

External Relations:

Crisis Team's external relations are managed by a single team member, who is tasked with overseeing the organization's social media presence, its communications with the Department of War Studies and partnering institutions (including think tanks, political risk firms, and consultancies), and all logistical affairs. 


The position offers event management, public relations, and strategic communications experience. Applicants will benefit from experience in these fields.

Delegates:

The delegates are those who represent the various nations and international organisations involved in the annual simulation. From Russian separatists to the NATO Secretary General, the roles will widely vary and be determined by the context of the given year's scenario.


These positions offer students the opportunity to put theoretical expertise into practice in a high-pressure, dynamic simulation. Applicants will benefit from enhancing leadership, teamwork, and communication proficiency over an entertaining 60 hours.
